The Expanded Learning Network (ELN) is a coalition of afterschool and out of school time providers dedicated to serving youth of all ages in the greater Binghamton region. The ELN is a chapter of the statewide organization the Network for Youth Success. This website is made possible through support from the Community Foundation of South Central New York.
Our mission is to cultivate growth of quality expanded learning opportunities by fostering connections and supporting partnerships through networking, collaboration and advocacy.
We envision a community where:
As members of the Expanded Learning Network, organizations, legislators, and community members work together to strengthen support for out of school time programs in our community. Members attend meetings, respond to tasks and action items, advertise and participate in ELN events and professional development opportunities, network with other providers in the community, and most importantly, provide safe, healthy, engaging and FUN program for young people.
Founding member organizations of the Expanded Learning Network include Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, Broome-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, the United Way of Broome County, Broome County Promise Zone, the Family Enrichment Network, Johnson City School District, and Cub Care Children’s Center.
